          Recycling Tips for Businesses

I.    Businesses purchase supplies and materials that are not always used efficiently this creates unnecessary waste. By taking simple actions to prevent waste, small businesses can protect resources, decrease pollution, and SAVE MONEY.

Begin by examining the wastes generated by your businesses and its sources.

The ideas below offer some ways to start using business materials more efficiently:

       1. Buy durable, concentrated, reusable, and/or high quality goods
       2. Conserve paper by making double sided copies and using two-way envelopes
       3. Order and ship merchandise with minimal packaging or layers of packaging
       4. Reuse packing materials
       5. Request that deliveries be shipped in returnable containers
       6. Return, reuse, and repair wooden pallets and spools
       7. Use E-mail or voicemail whenever possible

II.    Remember that recycling is only part of the battle. Reducing the amount of trash you produce is important, as is reusing items whenever possible. Purchasing recycled materials helps encourage global recycling, too.

n	Businesses with less then five employees may choose our 'Live Green' package and receive two 18 gallon bins.
n	Businesses may also choose our 'Go Green' package including one 32 gallon cart with a lid and one 18 gallon bin for paper.
n	Additional 18- 96 gallon bins will be provided for a fee.
n	Larger Recyclable Containers available for large volumes of paper and cardboard.
n	Locked Containers can be provided to secure confidential materials at your place of business.
